Our cutting boards are completely bespoke, handcrafted to order using only the finest quality timbers available – from trusted, familiar woods to striking exotic varieties. No two boards are ever the same, making each piece deeply personal and truly one of a kind.
Every board is a labour of love from start to finish.
Each piece is individually hand cut, planed, and carefully assembled layer by layer, building strength and character into every single board. The timbers are selected and arranged with precision, ensuring not only beauty in the grain and colour but long-lasting structural integrity.
Once constructed, every board is machined by hand, then meticulously sanded to a flawless. Silky smooth finish. Our signature NBD logo is laser engraved as a mark of authenticity – a symbol of strength, reliance, and purpose.
To protect and enhance the natural beauty of the wood, each board is generously treated with food safe mineral oil. Once fully absorbed and dried, it is finished with 2 coats of our premium beeswax and mineral oil board conditioner. This process nourishes the timber, enhances durability, and creates a protective finish built to withstand everyday use. Each board then has 4 rubber feet fitted to the bottom to allow air flow around the board at all times and to sit nicely on your worktop.
